Hi! My name is Kylie. I think that art can express many things like someone's feelings, opinions, creativity, and much more. Art can be expressed in different forms such as music, painting, writing, sculpture, to name a few. Since I was a little girl, I really liked writing song lyrics, stories, and poetry, plus drawing. Now I really love painting with watercolors and I still love writing poems.
For me art is relaxing because I don’t overthink too much, I just do. Art projects are fun; I enjoy finding inspiration, picking my colors and creating the design. I find it so interesting that the same task/project is given to a group of students, but the results are different. I like how you can bring your own style and expression to a piece. I can spend three hours on an art project and love every second of it. But if I spend three hours on a research paper, I will most likely dread it the whole time. Everything does not need to be described with words.
This is an example of an art piece I did of an ocean scene. I love using watercolor because I like the softness and lightness it brings to an art piece. A photo on Pinterest inspired me to create this piece and paint different tones of blue for the waves.
The art that I love the most is art that represents living things or something found in nature like trees, fruit, and animals. One day in art class we watched an artist named Andy Goldsworthy make the coolest designs in nature out of rocks and ice using just natural materials. I love art that shows creative expression of nature or scenes in nature.

I also love how Urban Walls brings boring walls to life with their beautiful designs. Their artists are so creative, and their work brightens peoples’ day and spark their imaginations.
